私としては当然我々の世界のNIAなのだと思っていたよ。だが、実に論理的な観点だね。まず最初の疑問はテッセレーションでは仲介役として協力せざるを得なかったため、実際には「友好関係」を築けてはいたんだ。もっとも今では私もその関係を断ち切ろうとしているし、彼等にしても再び私は知り過ぎてしまった存在になったというわけだ。

その可能性を危惧しているよ。1218世界のハンクは我々がこの世界の摂理を知るうえで不可欠な人物と言えるだろう。だが、この小説には彼にまつわる陰鬱な結末へと続く伏線を連想させるものだ。

そう考えるときはあるかもしれないが、まだ時期尚早だろうな。これを執筆した人物は実在した事件とは知らずに書いたのかもしれないし、別の考え方をすれば創作として公表することで「真実」を流布させようとすることだってあり得る。内部告発する側としては、そうする方が身の安全を担保しやすいだろうしね。
