位置情報編集の問題

レベル10のS2セルを跨いだジムの位置情報編集を行うことで、メダル進行状況がリセットされてしまいます。これはジムの位置情報を適切な場所へ移動しようとして発覚しました。それは2015年以前から正しい位置にないまま存在してきた古いポータルでしたが、先月ようやく編集が承認された際に、そのジムに関わることでメダル進行状況が完全にリセットされてしまい、数多くの現地プレイヤーが愕然となったのです。これはジムに影響を及ぼし得る全ての位置情報編集に当てはまるのではないかと考えましたが、大抵の場合にメダルの進行状況はリセットされていないようです。そこでひとりが、これは位置情報の変更でジムの配置されているレベル10 Sセルに変更がある場合に限って発生しているのではないかと言い、実際にその場合に限って発生していることを確認しました。メダルの進行状況をリセットすることが意図したことでないなら、リセットさせないようにしてもらえないでしょうか。私の場合は僅か10メートルの位置情報変更ではありましたが、偶然にもそれはセルの境界に存在していたのです。こういった不具合の報告をするのに適切な場所でなかったなら、予めお詫びいたします。ポケモンGOには独自のフォーラムもなく、これは承認済みのウェイスポットの位置情報編集においてのみ発生することであるため、報告を広く知ってもらうには最善と考えました。

ポケモンGOチームへ確認をとったところ、既に調査を開始している既知の問題であるとのことでした。

Location Edits that move Gyms across Level 10 S2 Cell boundaries reset badge progress
Discovered this recently when moving a gym to the correct location, it was an old portal from ~2015 that had not been placed correctly. When the edit was approved last month, many local players were dismayed to see that once they interacted with the gym their badge progress was completely reset. I asked around, assuming this was the case for all location edits affecting gyms and learned that most of the time badge progress is not reset. One person in particular suggested that it only happened when the move changed the Level 10 S2 cell the gym is located in and had evidence to support that claim.
If gym badge progress is not intended to be reset, then please make sure that it's never reset. In my case, the location changed by only about 10 meters but it just happened to be right on a boundary.
Apologies in advance if this is not the proper place to report such a bug. It's not really relevent to Ingress, Pokemon Go doesn't have it's own forum, and it only occurs based on approved location edits so this seemed the best way to report and also get visibility.

Hi folks, thanks for surfacing this. I checked with our Pokémon GO team and they have confirmed that this is a known issue that they're looking into.
