画面上にビクトリア・クレーゼの姿が映し出される。 クレーゼ：ああ、エージェントのみんなね。 名前：ビクトリア・クレーゼ 陣営：レジスタンス アーキタイプ：カタリスト クレーゼ：ごめんなさい、随分と疲れてて。交代で通信状況を監視してるの。アノマラス・ウィンドウがいつ開始されるかも分からないから、そちらの世界へ語り掛ける機会を逸してしまうわけにはいかないのよ。今は元いた世界のことを皆さんと話せるおかげで正気を保ててるようなものね。 画面上にナイアンティック研究員のマーティン・シューベルトとスタイン・ライトマンが表示される。 クレーゼ：あとは、シューベルトやライトマンとの議論ね。シューベルトが自分でも信じてはいないことを言っては、反論する役を演じてるのを見てると、ネメシス以前のこんなことが起こるより前の頃のような気分になるわ。ライトマンはこれまで以上に精力的に取り組んでくれてるけど、時折心ここにあらずなように感じるわ。話してても彼は私のことなんて気に留めず、まるで彼だけがわかってることを語ってるかのようよ。彼はどんな危険性があるかも分らぬまま、新たなリモート・パーティシペーションの手段を推し進めようとしているし。あとね、今ここで陥ろうとしてることに気づいたんだけど、リモート・パーティシペーション・エクスペリエンスには長期的にみて悪影響が及ぶ可能性があるみたい。もしかしたら、それこそがライトマンに起きていることなのかもしれないわね。彼はワラタで余りにも多くのリモート・パーティシペーションを経験してしまったから。そうなのだとすれば、彼は私たちの誰もにとって危険な存在なのかもしれない。少なくともシューベルトはそう考えてるわ。

Kureze: I'm sorry, I'm so tired. We're all taking shifts monitoring communications. You never know when an Anomalous Window is going to open and we can't waste an opportunity to get word back into the world. These chances to talk to you about home, it's kind of like the only thing keeping me sane.

Kureze: Well, that and my debates with Schubert and Lightman. Sometimes when I see Schubert playing devil's advocate even though I know he doesn't actually believe what he's saying, it makes me feel like we're just starting out, before all this, before Nemesis. Lightman is being more productive than ever but sometimes it feels like he's not all here, whenever I talk to him now it's like, he's looking past me and something only he can see, he wants us to move forward with his new method of Remote Participation without knowing what all the risks are, and look, I get what's at stake here but look we know there can be long-term negative effects to Remote Participation Experiences maybe that's what's up with Lightman maybe, he did one too many RPEs at Waratah. And if that's the case, he could be a danger to all of us. Schubert certainly thinks so.
