ある意味で執筆する絶好の機会だろう、足首を骨折したことはね。

デボラ：未完作となっている1,2,3をじっくりと読んだり、小説にD&D、他にもしようかと考えてることがあるわ。
スマーフハンター：テッセレーションについてはいろいろと考えてはいるけど、この抗争がどう影響していくかにはっきりとした考えはないな。

「影響」とはどういう意味だい？

ムスタファ：我々はまだテッセレーションの上っ面に触れただけなんじゃないかな。
イシラ：テッセレーションは実に面白いわね。少し前にアーキタイプと思われるテッセラが予告されてたけど、ナヴァッロやカルテンベルクのポータル創出チームへ連絡を取ることで入手できるのかもしれないわね。

大半が完成に至ってはいない。私が既に為してきたのはほぼランダムなもので、真の任務ではなかったよ。

スマーフハンター：たとえば、アノマリーで勝利すればどうなるかははっきりとしているけれど、テッセレーションはどうなんだろうか。双方の陣営ごとにどういった価値があるんだろうか。
イシラ：やってみたいんだけど、それにはラップトップの電源を入れるところからやらなきゃならないわね。
スマーフハンター：確かに大規模な抗争ではあるけれど、そこから何を得られるのかな。
イシラ：ネメシスを倒すことね。
スマーフハンター：そいつは実態に即しているというよりも口先の美辞麗句だね。

スマーフハンター：そのネメシスを倒すことと研究員たちを解放するために障壁を破ることとの関係性はどうなってるんだろうか。
ムスタファ：スマーフハンターは陣営としてテッセレーションに勝利することにどのような価値があるかを知りたいんだろうね。
スマーフハンター：そうさ。
ムスタファ：全てが終わる頃にはテッセレーションでネメシスに関する全てが開示されているはずだが、両陣営の対立構造に関しては...
スマーフハンター：エンライテンドやレジスタンスはどうして勝利を目指してるんだろうか。まだ明かされていない動機や利害があるってことだろうか。
イシラ：勝利した陣営にはネメシスの得ていた優位性を獲得する機会が与えられるのかもしれないわね。

フリント・ディル
諸君のためにはっきりとさせておこう。

デボラ：スキャナーキャンディが役立つかもしれないわね。
ムスタファ：待てよ、誰からだい？フリントから？
イシラ：ポータルネットワークも研究者も必要だから次元世界間の接続は失いたくないわ。
デボラ：今いるのが1218世界でなくプライム世界であるなら、私たちは謎を解いたことがあるのかしら。
イシラ：私たちがいるのはプライム世界だけど、1218世界との接続はまだ失われてはいないわ。ハンクたちとも連絡はつくもの。
デボラ：そこがややこしくしてるわね。
スマーフハンター：ありがとう、フリント！いずれ明らかにされるのを愉しみにしてるよ。

フリント・ディル
はっきりした答えがあるならお答えするが、私自身も調査しなくてはならないな。

スマーフハンター：デボラ、私もそのことは考えていたよ。1218世界の制御が確立されたことなんてない。

フリント・ディル
だがね、テザーハンドを掌握するものは情報も掌握しているんじゃないかな。

ムスタファ：文句はないな。手助けが必要なら、我々の居場所は把握しておいてくれ。

フリント・ディル
意味するところに関しては、独自の仮説を立てることができたんじゃないかな。

ムスタファ：我々は知っていることだと？
イシラ：アニメとなっている次元世界もあるわね、接続を維持してグリフを手に入れたいわ。
デボラ：誰なのかに関しては薄々気づいていることがあるわ。
ムスタファ：ネメシスが白日の下に晒されることになるのはわかってるが、彼等は何者であって、どうしてこんな真似をしているんだろうか。

哲学の老教授然とはいかないだろうが、憐れなるテザーハンド自身が語らぬ限りはその意味するところは我々の内でのことに過ぎないのだ。

トビアス：テザーハンドが何者なのかは興味深いね。薄々感じるところはあるけど、どうやって掌握してるんだろうか。

スマーフハンター：この件はアノマリーを超える規模であることは示唆されてきたけれど、その手段に関しては不明瞭だね。
デボラ：悪の組織の名前に私ならテザーハンドなんてつけないわね。

フリント・ディル
そうだね。テザーハンドは読んで字の如く傀儡のようだ。

デボラ：誰に？ネメシスかしら？

フリント・ディル
また来よう。諸君の仮説は彼女の心に響くことだろう。

スマーフハンター：テザーハンドは必ずしも悪というわけではないようだね。
ムスタファ：人形遣いは何者なんだろうか。
イシラ：フリントなのかしらね。テクトゥルフであったなら面白いと思うのだけど。
トビアス：件のハンドから我々に情報提供が行われているからには、ネメシスではないだろうね。そう、それはそれで面白いけど。
