我々もよく知るとおり、アフガニスタンのアノマラスゾーンでの出来事から数年後、ハンク・ジョンソンはジーク・カルビンによってナイアンティック計画へと誘致された。だがこれは私がこの話の最初に語らなかったことであるが、ハンクは啓示の夜にナイアンティック計画研究施設にいなかった、唯一の研究者なのである。
2018年4月、ハンクはストリーミング番組「ノマド」エピソード撮影のため、研究施設を出る許可を与えられた。「シバの女王とその金鉱」と題されたそのエピソードのために、ハンクと撮影隊一行はアフリカのコンゴ盆地にある久しく無人の地域へと向かった。ハンクには仮説があったのだ。シバの女王の失われた鉱山は、XMポータルの場所にあるはずだと彼は強く信じていた。この時点では、人々がポータルに引き寄せられているのか、あるいはその逆であるのか、ハンクに確信はなかった。そこで彼はその仮説を確かめる手段を考えた。彼が考えたのは、もし強度のXMがありながら無人の場所に古代の彫像が見つかったなら、それは何らかの手がかりとなるであろうということだ。
アフリカでハンクは、民間軍事会社ストラテジック・エクスプロレーションズの傭兵部隊リーダー、アントワーヌ・スミスという男と対決するに至った。最終的にハンクは命拾いし、古代のパワースポットにまつわる新発見の知識の宝庫から脱出を遂げた。
その知識は、ハンクを別のラビットホールへと落とした。それはこれまでに実在した最も偉大な軍事指導者のひとり、アレキサンダー大王へとつながっていた。この直後に共有する動画は、ハンクの「ノマド」からの別のエピソード映像だ。テーマは、プライム・オブジェクト。
プライム・オブジェクトとは何らかの方法でXMエネルギーによって満たされたアーティファクトのことだ。動画で分かる通り、古代のプライム・オブジェクト獲得が、アレキサンダー大王のアジア侵攻を推進していたかも知れないとハンクは考えている。プライム・オブジェクトは、リカージョンと呼ばれる生と再生のサイクルにとって不可欠であるように思われる。そしてこの時点でハンクは知る由もなかったが、彼の旅路は大いにアレキサンダーのそれをなぞって辿ることになるのだ。

The Life and Death of Hank Johnson - Part 3
So as we well know, a few years after his experience in the Afghanistan Anomalous Zone, Hank Johnson was recruited by Zeke Calvin for the Niantic Project. But here's a part of the story I didn't tell you the first time around: Hank was the only researcher on the project who wasn't actually in the Niantic Project facility on Epiphany Night!
In April of 2018, Hank was granted dispensation to leave the facility to shoot an episode of his streaming show "Nomad." The episode, entitled "The Queen of Sheba's Gold Mines," would take Hank and his crew to a long-uninhabited area of the Congo Basin in Africa. Hank's theory was this: It was his strongly held belief that the Queen of Sheba's lost mine was the location of an XM Portal. At this point in time, Hank wasn't sure if people were attracted to Portals, or if it was the other way around. So he came up with a way to test that theory. Way he figured it, if he found ancient statuary in a place that was strong in XM but currently uninhabited, that might connect some of the dots for him.
While in Africa, Hank came into conflict with a man called Antoine Smith, the leader of a detachment of mercenaries from a Private Military Contractor called Strategic Explorations. In the end, Hank managed to escape with his life, and with a treasure trove of newfound knowledge about ancient Power Spots.
That knowledge led Hank down another rabbit hole, which tied back to one of the greatest military commanders to ever live: Alexander the Great. The video I'll be sharing right after this post is a clip from another one of Hank's "Nomad" episodes. The subject? Prime Objects.
Prime Objects are artifacts that have somehow become infused with XM energy. As you'll see in the video, Hank believes that the acquisition of ancient Prime Objects may have inspired Alexander the Great's military push through Asia. The Prime Objects seemed to be integral to a cycle of life and rebirth called Recursion. And, though he didn't know it at the time, Hank's own journey would come to mirror Alexander's in a lot of respects.
