XMアノマリーが発生すると、地球上の複数の都市にアノマラスゾーンが生成される傾向がある。「啓示の夜」の後に記録のある最初の大規模なアノマリーはオペレーション・カサンドラと呼ばれ、今年8月に合計12都市で発生した。主要都市はワルシャワ、シンガポール、リンツ、マルセイユ、札幌、サンディエゴおよびフィラデルフィア、そして二次的なアノマラスゾーンはマルセイユ、マレ、ボストン、仁川、リガ、そしてバンクーバーに観測された。
数千人ものイングレス・エージェントに加え、アノマリーはかつてのナイアンティック計画研究者らのような高レベルセンシティブをも引き寄せるようだ。オリバー・リントン＝ウルフ博士はカサンドラ・アノマリーの際、シンガポールへと足を運んでいた。リントン＝ウルフは常に「啓発」されてきた。彼の尽きることなき知識への渇望は、それを求めているのだ。

When an XM Anomaly Event triggers, it tends to create Anomalous Zones in multiple cities across the globe. The first major recorded Anomaly Event post-Epiphany Night was dubbed Operation Cassandra, and manifested in 12 total cities in August of this year. The primary cities were Warsaw, Singapore, Linz, Marseille, Sapporo, San Diego and Philadelphia, and secondary Anomalous Zones were recorded in Marseille, Malé, Boston, Incheon, Riga and Vancouver.
In addition to thousands of Ingress Agents, Anomalies tend also to attract high-level Sensitives like the one-time Niantic Project researchers. Dr. Oliver Lynton-Wolfe himself traveled to Singapore during the Cassandra Anomaly. Lynton-Wolfe has always been Enlightened; his unquenchable thirst for knowledge demands it.
I mentioned previously Niantic Labs is the publisher of the supposed "game" Ingress. Well, starting with Cassandra, and at every major Anomaly since, Niantic Labs has promoted XM Anomaly Events to the thousands of Ingress Agents worldwide. There also tends to be a strong NIA presence at Anomalies, though - as previously stated - we don't fully understand the nature of the relationship between these two entities.
