男性の声：この日のことを覚えているかい、ガブリエル？

モニターの1台に駐車場を歩く女性の姿が映し出される。

その後女性は建物の扉を開く様子、そしてオブザベーション・チェンバーと思しき室内へと入ってくる様子がカメラを切り替えつつ追われる。そしてモニター内のガブリエルがどこか歪んだ機械音声と話し始める。

歪な音声：おかえりなさい、ガブリエル。心配していました。
ガブリエル：支払いが良い限りは心配は無用よ。
歪な音声：心配といった抽象概念の班別は困難です。
ガブリエル：そのうちわかるでしょうよ。私はあなたが本当は面白い人なのかどうか知りたいわね、何も知らないもの。
歪な音声：ここで行っていることには何ひとつ面白みはありません。ダンレイブン計画について再度説明が必要ですか？
ガブリエル：HAL3000ではないわね、テープだもの。

モニターの映像が途切れ、別の映像へと差し替わる。

そして、モニターにローランド・ジャービスが映し出される。

ジャービス：私の名はローランド・ジャービス。彫刻家であり、ドリーマーだ。ビジョンとアイデアの構築者でもあるが、諸君が最も関心を寄せているのは、私がナイアンティック計画の研究員であることだろう。状況が違っていれば計画に参加していたかはわからない。だが、国家情報局は私の抱える問題を解消してくれると約束したのだ。

モニター別の映像が再生される。

先ほどと同じくジャービスの姿が映るが、今度は途中ガブリエルの姿も映されている。

ジャービス：知識ある者たちにエックスエムとは何かと問えば、おそらくは世界を理解するための鍵だとの答えが返ってくるだろう。国家情報局へ問えば、おそらくは武器だとの答えが返ってくるだろう。エックスエムとは、エキゾチックマターとはそういたことを遙かに上回るものだ。唯一無二なる真の光である。だが、今こそわかるものの、かつての私はわかっていなかったのだ。私の形づくる作品が私の内から湧き出でたものなどではなかったことを。我が切なる願いは、その先へ踏み入ってそこにあるビジョンやアイデア、コンセプトを手にし、我々の世界へもたらすことにある。エックスエムとは、アルティメットの声を伝うものなのだ。

モニターの映像が途切れ、続いてオブザベーション・チェンバーに座るガブリエルの姿が映し出される。

ガブリエル：ジャービスよね？生前の映像なのよね？
歪な音声：ローランド・ジャービスはチューリッヒで射殺されました。しかし、死んではいません。
ガブリエル：なんてことなの。ミスター・ロボット、あなたって毎度毎度わけがわからないわよ。
歪な音声：ジャービスの身に起きたことを理解するうえでは先ず...
ガブリエル：本気なの？ここで私と話したいだけじゃないの？こんな映像を観るのなんてうんざりよ。あと、あなたの使ってる安っぽいロボット音声にもね。
歪な音声：お望みであれば、別の声にすることも可能です。
ガブリエル：いいわね、じゃあエイリアンかモンスターの声にして。
エイダ：この声でどうでしょうか、ガブリエル。心地好く聞こえるでしょうか。あなたが人生で最も聴き馴染んだ声ですから、心地好いはずですが、いかがでしょうか。
ガブリエル：なんてことなの！
エイダ：ガブリエル、心拍数が上昇しています、具合が悪いのですか？
ガブリエル：どういうことよ！どうして施錠されてるじゃない！この忌々しい扉を明けなさいよ！
エイダ：誤解があったようですね、ガブリエル。あなたを怒らせるつもりはありませんでした。その扉は解錠しました。来週またお逢いしましょう。
ガブリエル：いったい誰なの？
エイダ：私の名前はエイダ、来週またお逢いしましょう。
ガブリエル：エイダ、私があなただったら、さっさと別の被験者をあたるわね。

モニター映像はここでようやく終わる。

ガブリエル：その日のことは覚えてるわ。どうしてそのことを思い出させようと？
男性の声：エイダがチューリッヒで私の暗殺を企てたことはご存知かい？
ガブリエル：知らないわ。
男性の声：信用できる機械なんて存在しないのだよ、ガブリエル。我々がその定めを成就させようとするならばね。我々は寛容であるべきだろう。
ガブリエル：寛容とは？
男性の声：私は新たな取り組みに着手した。人工知能倫理待遇協会と呼んでいるよ。その慈悲と思いやりが人工知能の如き唾棄すべき存在に終焉をもたらしてくれることだろう。
ガブリエル：私は何をすればいいの？
男性の声：いずれくるその時を待つのだ、我を信奉する者よ。

There's nothing humorous about the work we do here. Do you need a re-brief on the nature of the Dunraven project?

Gabrielle:

Jarvis:
My name's Roland Jarvis. I'm a sculptor. I'm a Dreamer. A builder of visions and ideas. I suppose what's most interesting to you is I'm a researcher in the Niantic project. I don't know if I would have joined the project if my situation had been different. But the NIA promised to make my problem go away.

Jarvis:
If you ask the eggheads what XM is they'll probably tell you it's the key to the universe. You ask the NIA they'll probably tell you it's a weapon. XM, Exotic Matter is so much more than this. It's the only true form of light. But I didn't realize before that I know now is that the art I create doesn't come from within me. My true calling is to access beyond. And bring the visions and ideas and concepts that I understand from there and bring them into our world. The XM, it carries the voice of the Ultimate.

Seriously? Can't you just like come down here and talk to me? I am sick of looking at these videos that don't make any damn sense. And most of all I am sick of listening to that dollar store robot voice you keep using.

Distorted voice:
I could use another voice if you'd like.

Gabrielle:
Great. Alien or you try monster.

ADA:
How about this voice, Gabrielle? Does this make you feel more comfortable? I surmised but your voice is probably the voice you've heard the most in your life and therefore the most comforting. Is it not?

Gabrielle:
What the hell?

ADA:
Gabrielle. Your heart rate is rising. Is something wrong?

Gabrielle:
What's going on? Why is this door locked? Open this damn door!

ADA:
I am sorry for the misunderstanding Gabrielle. I did not intend to upset you. The door is now unlocked. Will you be returning next week?

Gabrielle:
Who the hell are you?

ADA:
My name is ADA. Will I see you again next week Gabrielle?

Gabrielle:
If I was you, ADA, I'd find myself another damn candidate.
