甲高い鳥の鳴き声とともに熱帯林を連想させる植物が映される。

その奥でベンチに横たわるウェンディが呻きつつ身体を起こす。それにあわせるように着信音が鳴り響いた。ウェンディは鞄の中を漁って携帯電話を取り出し、応答する。

シャポー：ウェンディか？シャポーだ、帽子の男だよ。気分はどうだい？
ウェンディ：どうして？私が変なことでもしてた？
シャポー：意識を失っていたよ。こちらはダンレイブンが先週掲載した映像をちょうど観たところだ。

ウェンディ：待って、先週？いま何曜日なの？
シャポー：月曜さ、ウェンディ。
ウェンディ：1週間...ずっとこの服を着てたってこと？
シャポー：私の計算では、君は5週間を無駄にしてるね。チェンバーへ閉じ込められて先週目覚めるまでにね。

ウェンディ：ずっと意識を失っていたって、そう言うの？ふざけてるわ、シーハルクにでもなったのかしら？どうしてハルクじゃないのかしら。
シャポー：落ち着けよ、ウェンディ。シーハルクが本来の彼女自身なのはそのとおりで、有名な親族との関係のみで考えるものじゃないよ。もっとも今話すべきことでもないがね。ウェンディ、いつまでそこに居るんだい？
ウェンディ：考えたんだけど、1日に1度、私へ電話してよ。そして次みたいな符丁を言うの、あなたが「ウェンディ、今何をしてるんだい？」と言って、私が「現実世界にうんざりしてるの」と答えるわ。私がそう答えないのであれば...

ここでウェンディは自身の鞄に携帯端末とは別に封書が入っていることに気づき、抜き出す。

シャポー：符丁が噛み合わないなら、話してる相手が君じゃないとわかるってことだね、うまい手だ。だが、君の記憶には些か不安があるね。そうなったら、どうするんだい？

封書の中身を確認したウェンディが手のひらに何かを手にする。封書には手書きで「これをあの部屋に隠せ。ハンク・ジョンソンより」と書かれている。

ウェンディ：わからないわ。わからないけど、そうね、少なくともなんとかするんじゃないかしら。
シャポー：今から何をするつもりだい？
ウェンディ：ダンレイブンへ戻るわ。
シャポー：ウェンディ、君に何が起きているのかわかるまではあそこへ戻るような真似はすべきじゃない。君は私にとってかけがえのない人であって、調査のためじゃない。
ウェンディ：じゃあ、またね。

改装と思われる作業を見て怪訝な様子で建物内に入るウェンディは、ロビーで荷物を抱えたひとりの男と鉢合わせする。

ウェンディ：すみません。
恰幅のよい男：なんだい？
ウェンディ：ダンレイブンの方ですか？
恰幅のよい男：そいつは何だい？
ウェンディ：そのテレビをどこへ持って行くの？
恰幅のよい男：街中だね。
ウェンディ：街のどこに？
恰幅のよい男：さあね、うちの運送会社へ発送の依頼があっただけだからな。
ウェンディ：いいかしら？入ってもいい？
恰幅のよい男：ここは自由の国だよ、お嬢さん。

室内を見て回るも、研究の行われていた痕跡はなく、ラップトップの置かれた長机が規則正しく並ぶありふれた学習室となっていた。

だが、学習室内を歩くウェンディに追従する監視カメラは現存していた。

CHAPEAU: Wendy? It's P.A. Chapeau. The guy in the hat. From the videos. How are you feeling?

WENDY: Why? Have I been acting weird?

CHAPEU: You've been blacking out. I just saw the video Dunraven posted last week

WENDY: Wait, last week? what day is it?

CHAPEAU: Monday, Wendy.
WENDY: A week. Have I been wearing these clothes the whole time?

CHAPEAU: If I'm doing my math right, you lost 5 weeks. From when you got locked in the chamber to when you woke up there last week

SE CAM 4

WENDY: Maybe I've been blacking out, you know? She-hulking out. I'd have to be She-hulk? Why can't it just be another hulk?

CHAPEAU: Look,Wendy, I agree that She-hulk is her own person and should not be defined solely by her relationship to her more famous cousin. But I don't think that's what we should be focusing on right now.

Wendy, are you still there?

WENDY: I'm thinking, would you call me once a day and we'll have a code phrase like, like you'll say "Wendy, what are you doing right now" and I'll say "I'm putting off the real world" and if I don't respond that way.

CHAPEAU: If you can't complete the phrase, we'll know whoever I'm talking to isn't you. That will work. Although, your memory has been a little bit shaky, and even if that happens, then what do we do?

WENDY: I don't know. I don't know, but um, at least, we'll, we'll have something.

CHAPEAU: What are you going to do now?

WENDY: I'm going back to Dunraven.

CHAPEAU: Wendy, until we know exactly what's happening to you, I don't think we can risk you going back there. You mean too much to me. Uh, to the investigation.

WENDY: Look, I gotta go.

MAN: Yeah.
WENDY: Hi, are you with Dunraven?

WENDY: And where are you taking the TV?
MAN: Yeah cross down.

WENDY: Can I? Do you mind if I?
MAN: It's a free country, lady.
