国家情報局員からハンク・ジョンソンへ宛てた新たな通信が傍受されたよ。

「ハンク、我々は遺物の調査を行っています。昨夜の嵐では奇妙なことが起きました。空を青や緑の稲妻が駆け、予期せぬ展開を見せたのです。我々には遺物をここから持ち去る力はありませんでした。既に我々は強い影響を被っていたのです。破壊しようかとも考えたが、斯様に強力な物質であれば自らを護るために言い知れぬほどの力を呼び起こすやもしれない。土曜のうちにクロスプレインズでエージェントとの接触があれば、引き渡すつもりです。引き続き作業に取り組めることでしょう。」

"Hank -- we have been studying the artifact. It came to life in strange ways during the storm last night. Blue and green lightning lit up the sky and the tome began to react unpredictably. We lack the strength to remove the artifact from here -- it has already affected us in powerful ways. We are tempted to destroy it, but such a powerful object may summon untold forces to defend itself... If an Agent finds us in Cross Plains on Saturday we will pass it to them. Perhaps they can continue our work..."
