皆さん、ごきげんよう。新たなアプリケーションパッケージ解析へようこそ。興味深いものが発見されなかったことでバージョン1.117.xでは掲載を見送りましたが、バージョン1.118.0では新たなビーコンの到来が確認されました。私たちはそれをマグナス・リアウェイクンのビーコンと考えていましたが、そうでないことが判明したのです。そこで、今回の変更に関して僅かながら解析を行っています。

ご覧のとおり、11種類目のビーコンが加わりました。実際の名称や解説はサーバー側に依存するため、ストアへ登場するまではわかりません。

総括
今回はおそらく歴代最短の解析となりました。コミュニケーション・パネル上のスパム対策やポータル申請といった最近の変更を除けばイングレス開発の大半がバージョン2.0に注力されていることは明白です。何かしら最新情報があればお伝えしますし、差し迫る5月のチャレンジを楽しみたいと思います。

A new beacon is joining us!:

Ingress APK Teardown [1.118.0] - Lawson Station Edition

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Ingress teardown. We skipped blogging about versions 1.117.x because we found nothing interesting, however with the launch of 1.118.0 we identified a new beacon arriving. We believed this to be the Magnus Reawakens beacon, but it turns out it was not. For that reason we have a small teardown showing this change.

Lawson Station
As you can see, beacon 11 has joined us. The true title and description have been server side for awhile now, so the real name of this beacon won't be known until it shows up on the Store tab.

Conclusion
Yes, this was quite possibly our shortest teardown ever. It's clear the bulk of Ingress development is going towards 2.0, with the exception of the recent changes to COMM spam and portal submissions. We will be back with any news and enjoy the upcoming May Ingress challenge.
