フラッシュシャード・アノマリーの仕組み
アノマリー発生日に先立ち、発生都市内で注目すべき領域（インパクト・ゾーン）をIQテック・リサーチ社がマップ上に表示させます。
アノマリー当日、シャード群とファクションごとのターゲット群がインパクト・ゾーン内に出現していきます。これらは段階的に出現していき、詳細については当文書1頁目に記載しています。シャード群とターゲット群はスキャナーおよびインテルマップに表示されます。
シャード群はポータル・リンクを介してポータル間を移動することができます。ただし、双方のポータルがレベル4以上でなければなりません。シャード群は20分間毎に移動しようとします。
シャードがファクション固有のターゲットへ移動された場合には、そのシャードは当該ファクションに確保されたことになります。その後にポータル・リンクが形成されたとしても移動することはありません。
より多くのシャード群を自らのファクションへもたらすべくエージェントの皆さんへは移動開始から移動終了まで4時間が与えられます。編制されたチーム単位での活動を推奨いたします。ファクション代表者への連絡は当文書1頁目の一覧をご確認ください。
ターゲットポータルで確保したシャードに対しては、オブシディアン・アノマリーにおいて、1片あたり100ポイントがスコア計上されます。
アノマリーの仕組み（詳細）
シャード群およびターゲット群はインパクト・ゾーン内のみに出現します。出現後、シャード群はポータル・ネットワークを介して移動できますが、ターゲット群が移動することはありません。
シャード群はポータル・リンクを介して20分間毎に移動しようとします。シャード群の移動は5分間にわたって試みられ、例を挙げると13時00分から13時05分、13時20分から13時25分となります。
シャード群はポータル・リンクを組み合わせても移動していきますが、一度の時間帯に移動できるのはひとつのリンクに限られます。また、前回の移動時間に存在したポータル・リンクを使用して移動することはありません。
移動可能なリンクが複数ある場合には、移動するリンクはランダムに選択されます。
ひとつのポータルに複数のシャード群があり、複数のポータル・リンクが形成されている場合には、それぞれのシャードが異なるリンクを介して移動する可能性があります。
2度にわたって移動に失敗したシャードは、次の移動時間において例え有効なポータル・リンクが存在せずとも近隣のポータルへランダムに転移する可能性があります。
シャード群は高エネルギー状態にあることから、2度の移動時間にわたって相当数のシャード群を移動阻害したフィールドは急速に不安定化する可能性があります。
シャード群およびターゲット群の出現する全てのポータルは暗号化された一覧としてアノマリーに先立って開示されます。
エージェントの皆さんは、ゴーラックのステルス・オプスおよびアーバン・オプスに勝利することで、シャード群およびターゲット群の出現するポータルに関する機密情報を入手できるでしょう。

クラスター戦の仕組み
4時間にわたってアノマリー発生都市の大規模なポータル・クラスター群が高エネルギー状態に陥ります。アノマリー発生前から発生中にかけ、クラスター群はインテルマップ上およびスキャナー上の双方で確認できます。アノマリー発生時には一度にひとつのクラスターのみが活性化します。
メジャーメントタイムという特定の時間に活性化状態にあるクラスターのポータル状況が測定されます。確保されたポータルのオーナー権とそのポータルに形成されたリンク数とフィールド数、そして覆い尽くすフィールドの有無が測定されます。
これらのアクティブ・クラスターに加え、相当数の追加ポータルが測定されます。アクティブ・クラスター内で視認することはできませんが、この「揮発性」ポータル群は極めて高い価値を備えます。エージェントの皆さんは、ゴーラックのステルス・オプスやアーバン・オプスに勝利することを含め、様々な形でその機密情報を獲得する機会があるでしょう。

アノマリーの仕組み（詳細）
メジャーメントは、当文書1頁目に掲載する日程一覧上の10分間実施されます。メジャーメントタイムの暗号化された一覧がアノマリーに先立って開示されます。
各クラスターは、スキャナー上およびインテルマップ上で独自に強調表示されます。
各クラスターに関連する揮発性ポータルは、当該クラスターのメジャーメントタイムを経過し終えるまで正確な個数は明らかになりません。しかし、4個から6個のクラスター・ポータルにつき1個の揮発性ポータルが存在する可能性があります。
揮発性ポータルは、現時点のクラスター内にも、異なるクラスター内にも、そしてクラスター群の外2km圏に存在する可能性があります。それがアクティブ・クラスター・ポータルも兼ねている場合を除き、揮発性ポータルに形成されたリンクやフィールドが測定対象となることはありません。
戦略フィールドとは、アノマリー発生時に大半の活性化したクラスターを飲み込む大規模なコントロール・フィールドです。各クラスターの縁部には、特殊な目印の記された3個のポータルがあります。
戦略フィールドが有効とみなされるためには、最低でもこの3個のポータルを覆い込んだ状態でメジャーメントタイムに存在していなければいけません。戦略フィールドが複数存在する場合には、最も外縁に位置するフィールドが有効とみなされます。
複数のクラスター・ポータルに接続されたリンクやフィールドは、1度のみ加点されます。

The Acolyte, a prominent Enlightened leader and Roland Jarvis's successor, is attempting to find and activate an XM artifact known as the Obsidian Shield. Originally found by a Roman explorer named Obsidius, the Acolyte believes this technology will create a barrier that can protect humanity from the N'zeer. In her view, this is a desperately needed response to their rising influence.
Jahan, a high-ranking Resistance and Anti-Magnus leader, has discovered that the Shield can be modified and used for a very different purpose, to block Shaper transmissions that enter our universe via modulated XM. If she can obtain this technology before the Acolyte, she intends to use it against the Shapers.
Our analysts have verified that the Shards that will manifest during Obsidian contain fragments of the Shield artifact. However, simply obtaining these Shards is not enough. Jahan and the Acolyte will need the Anomalies to generate the XM energy needed to activate them.
By controlling the Obsidian Anomalies and Shards, Agents will be able to help these high-ranking Enlightened and Resistance leaders accomplish their goals.

HOW A FLASH SHARD ANOMALY WORKS:
Prior to the day of the Anomaly, a map will be released by IQTech showing a highlighted region (the Impact Zone) inside the Anomaly city.
On the day of the Anomaly, XM Shards and Faction-Specific Targets will begin to manifest at Portals inside the Impact Zone. They will manifest in phases, the details of which are described on Page 1 of this document. The Shards and Targets will be visible in the Ingress Scanner and on the Ingress Intel map.
The XM Shards will be able to travel between Portals using Portal Links, as long as both the source and destination Portal are Level 4 or higher. The Shards will attempt to travel every 20 minutes.
If a Shard lands on a Faction-Specific Target Portal, that Shard will be captured by that Faction and will not travel on Portal Links any further.
Agents will have 4 hours (between the First Move and the Last Move) to capture as many Shards as they can for their Factions. A coordinated, team-based approach is recommended. A resource to help Agents find their Faction Points of Contact is listed on Page 1 of this document.
Each Shard captured by a Faction in a Target Portal will contribute a score of 100 towards the Obsidian Anomaly Series.
DETAILED ANOMALY MECHANICS:
Both Shards and Targets will only manifest inside the Impact Zone. Once they appear, Shards will be able to travel anywhere within the Portal Network. The Targets will not move.
The Shards will attempt to travel on a Portal Link every 20 minutes. There is a 5 minute wide jump window during which the Shards will attempt to travel, for example between 13:00 and 13:05, 13:20 and 13:25 etc.
The XM Shards will be able to travel along any combination of Portal Links, traveling along one Link per jump window, however, a Shard will not travel using a Link to the Portal it was present on at the previous jump window.
If multiple viable Links are available for a Shard, it will randomly select one to travel on.
If multiple Shards and multiple Links are present on a single Portal, each Shard may travel along a different Link.
In the event that a Shard fails to travel along a connected Link twice consecutively (i.e. 2 jump windows), it may randomly teleport to a nearby Portal at the following jump window if no viable Link is present.
Due to the extremely high energy state of the XM Shards, overhead Fields that inhibit the movement of a significant number of Shards for more than two jump windows may suddenly destabilize.
A hashed list of all Portals where Shards and Targets will manifest will be released prior to the Anomaly.
Agents will be able to obtain intelligence about the Portals where upcoming Shards and Targets will manifest by winning in GORUCK Stealth-Ops and Urban-Ops training exercises.
If a Shard movement is found to have been the result of actions by a rogue Agent, NIA operators may cause that XM Shard to return to a previous known location.

HOW A CLUSTER BATTLE ANOMALY WORKS:
Over the course of 4 hours, large Clusters of Portals in the Anomaly city will enter a high energy state. These Clusters will be visible on Intel and in the Ingress Scanner both during and before the Anomaly. During the Anomaly, only one Cluster will be active at a time.
At a specific time, known as the Measurement Time, the state of the Portals in the Active Cluster will be measured. Their Faction Ownership, the number of Links and Fields connected to them as well as the presence of Fields overhead will be measured.
In addition to the Active Cluster, a number of additional Portals will be measured. Although not visibly part of the Active Cluster, these 'Volatile' Portals are extremely valuable. Agents can acquire intelligence about their identities through a number of mechanisms, including by winning in GORUCK Stealth-Ops and Urban-Ops training exercises.
Agents can win an Anomaly by maintaining control of Cluster and Volatile Portals, building Links and Fields and using overhead Strategic Fields to outperform their opposing Faction. A list of the scores attached to each of these items is on Page 3 of this document.
The score gained during this Anomaly will be added to the Factions' cumulative totals for the Obsidian Anomaly Series. A coordinated, team-based approach is recommended. A resource to help Agents find their Faction Points of Contact is available on Page 1 of this document.
DETAILED ANOMALY MECHANICS:
Measurements will take place within 10 minutes of the times listed on Page 1 of this document. A hashed list of Measurement times will be revealed prior to the Anomaly.
Each Cluster will be highlighted in the Ingress Scanner and Intel map in a specific way:
The exact number of Volatile Portals associated with each Cluster will not be known until after the Measurement Time for that Cluster has passed, but there is likely to be 1 Volatile Portal for every 4-6 Cluster Portals.
Volatile Portals could be present inside the current Cluster, in a different Cluster, or outside the Clusters, potentially as far as 2km away. Links and Fields connected to Volatile Portals will not be measured unless those Portals are also Active Cluster Portals.
A Strategic Overhead Field is a large XM Control Field that spans most of an active Cluster during an Anomaly. Each Cluster will contain 3 specially marked Portals near its edges as indicated below.
In order to be considered valid, a Strategic Field must, at minimum, enclose these three specially marked Portals and be standing at Measurement Time. If multiple Strategic Fields are present, only the outermost Field will be considered.
Links and Fields anchored by multiple Cluster Portals will only be counted once.
