ハンク・ジョンソンの待ち望んでいた情報が得られた。

ペルセポリスへの道程で、アントワーヌ・スミスとヤーハンは証人ストーンを巡る事件による影響を語り合っていた。

スミス： 奇術や錯覚の類ではないのだな。

ヤーハン： そうよ、ネストとはエキゾチックマターを動力源とした大規模装置だったの。我々が獲得してきた如何なる技術をも超越したね。

スミス： おおよそは理解した。だが似ているな。ブレーカー、いやこの場合はスイッチとして機能するということだな。

ヤーハン： 蒼き光が洞窟一面を照らしたわ。波打つように延びて、どこまでも無限に続くように。最果ての地を見通すように。

スミス： それなのに何故アズマティは加護を得られていなかったのだろうな？

25 both ancient and far beyond that which we possess today.
26 SMITH: I think I understand. But they are analogous. The key acts as
27 a circuit breaker or, in this case, an on switch.
28 JAHAN: A blue glow illuminated the cavern in all directions.
29 Undulating, glowing tunnels were stretched ... seemingly to
30 infinity. Like I was seeing the Ultimate.
