いつの間にか、おそらくは最近になってからなのだろうが、スタイン・ライトマンがナイアンティック計画で自らが取り組んだことの概要を語っていた。
この音声記録が私にとって有益なものだったわけだが、今回紹介するのはその冒頭部分だ。
今ではシェイパーグリフに関する知識の根幹を担う男にとって興味深い洞察と解読の可能性を提示するものだったわけだね。

| それでは、私のような詐欺師やほら吹きの類がどのような経緯でナイアンティック計画へ招かれることになったというのだろうか？その答えは明白だ、私が詐欺師ではないからだ。自らの才能のことは理解しているし、自らの言動には確信を持っている、少なくとも大半のことはね。 私は物理学を専攻する博士課程の学生だった。まあ、夜にはカバラや錬金術なんてものもやってきたがね。そうしたものがどれも同じであることに気づいたんだ。自らの周囲にエネルギー場があることに、地球上のアノマリーに気づいたんだ。古書を集めた図書室で太古の人々が同じように見たり感じたりしたシンボルや絵画を見つけた。今ではそれに精密機器を用いているが、当時は電子レベルで微細なものに対する「本能」という奴を保持していたわけだ。 動物と会話することができないのと同じように、今ではそれを感じ取ることはできない。現代人となることで、そうした技能は捨て去られてしまったのだ。それに、大気の乱れが大きくなったことで、何かしらを感じ取ることはほとんど不可能となってしまった。あまりに多様な電波やマイクロ波が飛び交い、頭上を航空機が飛び、携帯電話に電子メールが飛び込んできている。何かしらを聞き取るにはあまりに無秩序なのだ。 |

At some point (I believe recently), +Stein Lightman gave a brief talk on his work at Niantic.
A recording of this talk has made it's way to me, this is the first portion of that talk.
It's offers fascinating insight into the man now responsible for the trunk of our knowledge about Shaper Glyphs and their possible interpretations.
Rumors have often circulated that Stein Lightman may in fact be a fraud, or some kind of huckster. It's interesting to hear him address the issue, if perhaps not comprehensively. In addition, he floats some rather... spectacular theories... Talking to animals? Other interesting ideas as well.... What does hearing this talk bring to mind for you? Does it cause you to distrust him, or do you believe that what he's saying might hold some truth? I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

So, how did an obvious hustler and charlatan like myself get invited to something like the Niantic Project? The answer's simple. I'm not a hustler. I actually know my stuff. I actually believe what I'm saying - at least most of it.I was a PhD student in physics, doing Kabbalah and Christian Alchemy - yeah, there was such a thing - at night. I began to see that they were the same thing. I started noticing that there were energy fields, Anomalies on Earth, all around me. I started finding old symbols and drawings in the classics library room where the ancients were seeing or feeling the same thing as I was. Nowadays, we use extremely sensitive equipment, but they, back in their day, still maintained their 'instinct' for very minute things in the electromagnetic sphere.
We can't feel them now, for the same reason we can't talk to the animals. As we became more human, we gave up skills - and, let's add to that, there is so much disturbance in the atmosphere that it's almost impossible to pick anything up. So many radio waves, microwaves, airplanes overhead, emails coming in on cellphones - so much chaos that we can't hear anything.
