エイダ：あなたがナイアンティック計画へと参画した動機は何だったのですか？

ミスティ：本当に他愛もない理由よ。5歳のときに母親とゴーフィッシュをしていたの。テーブル上のデッキ全体を1枚のカードも見逃さずにいたら、いかさまをしてると言われてね、母親は並べ直したのよ。それでも私は30連勝したわ。母親は近所の小賢しい男を連れてくると、私のしてることを監視させたわね。それでその男はカードに特徴があると考えて真新しいデッキに替えさせたわ。わかるでしょうけど、この手の輩って常にカードは持ち歩いてるのよね。このときは40連勝したわ。次にわかったのは、私のカードの腕を見込んだ不愛想な老いぼれと煙たいカジノで目立たないように座ってたときのことね。母親も私も金を必要としていたし、満足していたわ。

エイダ：確かにあなたの人生を変える出来事であったことには違いありませんが、その後に何があったのですか？

ミスティ：そうね、ある日に濃いサングラス姿の男がやってきたのだけど、みんなして追い出したわ。それで今は政府機関のためにここにいて、科学者集団のためにおんなじようなことをしてるってこと。でも、今回は開始されてるし、頭にコードを付けられたわね。科学者たちはびっくりしてたわよ。それで私はプロジェクト・ワイダと呼ばれる実在しないはずのプロジェクトに参加を認められたって聞いたわね。

What motivated you on the path that ultimately led you to Niantic.

Misty Hannah:
It started in the most innocent possible way... At age five I was playing Go Fish with my mother and I ran the entire deck on the table without missing a single card, and it called me a cheater thought I cheated so she laid out the cards again and I did 30 straight. She brought out one of the local losers over to watch me do what I was doing and he figured that the cards were some Hallmark so he goes and gets a new deck and you know those guys didn't have much but they always had cards. This time I got 40 straight. Next thing I knew, I'm sitting in the background some scrub brush casino chokin on smoke with crusty old dudes betting on my ability to run the cards. My mom and I were like, they were raking in the money they were so happy.

ADA:
Well this certainly must have changed things for you, what came next.

Misty Hannah:
So, this one day this guy with dark sunglasses walks in and everybody. They just clear it out. And the next thing I knew, I'm in for government office doing the same thing for a bunch of scientists this time. But this time I got monitors and cords in my head. They were fascinated. Later I learned I'd been accepted into it now disavowed project called Project Whydah.
