決定的瞬間まで僅か数時間を残し、カホキア・マウントを埋め尽くすエージェントからは何十という報告が挙がっている。
本日のことだが、予期せぬものを受け取った。そこには随分昔の文献の1頁目があったよ。ハンク・ジョンソンにとってのカホキア・マウントの意義と何故彼が執着するかを説明し得るものだ。
ジョンソンはこの地の歴史研究に強い影響を受けたことで、探検家に、旅人に、そして失われし人類史の探究者となったのかもしれない。
更に、ハンク・ジョンソンのテレビ番組がナイアンティック計画に寄与することを監督者たちは熱望しているようだ。

送信元：ジェイ・フィリップス 承知しました。 本件はどこまで進展していくのでしょうか。このような仮説は検証も難しく、納得させがたいものです。おそらく今回の放送も一般には「荒唐無稽な番組」と扱われるでしょうね。それでも信じてしまう者はいるでしょうし、信じた者たちは未知の危険因子を増し得ます。果たして拙速に進めて良いものでしょうか。このようなことを耳にした者は全てを発見し尽くすまでやめはしないでしょうね。ある程度は信じてほしいものですが、それも我々の目的に適えばの話です。全て解明するまでジョンソンが自重するとは思えない。こだわりすぎだ。 それを利用することもできるでしょう。だが、他国へ放映することには慎重にならざるを得ない。露見すれば予期せぬ事態を引き起こしかねない。必要となった場合に備え、「編集ボタン」を埋め込んでおくべきでしょうな。 ジェイ 「エゼキエル・カルビン博士」記 早急に試験放送の原稿に目を通したいものだね。この件で二点ほど確認をとってくれるかい？オープニングタイトルの原稿に関する物性や作業量、議論を鑑みると、完成した放送には注意が必要だ。内容と及ぼす影響は我々で制御する必要がある。 ジョンソンによれば、シバの女王の金鉱について放送するとのことだ。実在したのであれば、魅力的な話だな。アフリカ大陸中央部に位置する極めて古いもので、歴史に埋もれた膨大な富と叡智が残されていると伝えられているね。どうやって成し遂げたのだろうか、どうして世界から孤立したのだろうか、何が起きたというのだろうか。 撮影場所に関して言えば、中央アフリカには可能性があるし、過去15年間にわたってジョンソンが関心を注いできたことにも合致する。彼はこの地域へ幾度も脚を運んでいるし、彼がそこで捜し求めているものは我々も把握している。 彼はノマドの以前から「文明発祥の地」更には「人類発祥の地」を主題として調査を続けてきた。彼はその探究に執着しているし、文明を具現化させた勢力に「魅入られている」とさえ言う者もいる。彼が探究することはかまわないが、やはり情報の流れは我々の計画遂行にそぐわねばならないな。 ジーク |

Understood.How far are we going to let this go? Theories like this are hard to track down, and harder still to get people to believe. Likely this episode and his show will be relegated by the public as "loony TV". But there will be some who believe, and believers can add a dangerous X factor. Is it wise to let this stuff out so soon?
Some will hear these theories and not stop until they have discovered everything. We want them to know and believe to a degree, but only so far as it's advantageous to our work and our goals. No doubt Johnson isn't going to let up until he has all the answers. It's an obsession with him.
I think we can use that to our advantage. But we must be cautious with what he presents to the rest of the world. Once the facts are out, there could be unintended consequences. Fully agree we should have an "edit button" ready and inline if the need ever arises.

Given the nature of the material and the amount of work and discussion that the opening titles script generated internally, the full episode is bound to require some attention. Johnson says the show is about the Queen of Sheba's gold mines. Now that's an alluring tale if there ever was one. A very old repository, in the heart of the African continent, reported to contain vast riches and knowledge that were lost to history.
How did they get there? Why were they set so apart from the rest of the world? What happened to them?
As for the shoot location, Central Africa is a viable location for the gold mines, and it is consistent with Johnson's focus for the last fifteen years. He's been to this part of the world a number of times. We know he's looking for something there.
His investigations even before NOMAD have centered around "cradle of civilization" themes, or more to the point, "cradle of mankind" investigations. He is fascinated with the subject. One might even say he's "drawn" to the forces that shaped civilization. All of this is OK for him to pursue, but again, we need to ensure that information flow matches project needs.

The decisive moment is just hours away, and there are reports of dozens of agents swarming the site of Cahokia Mounds.
I received an unexpected delivery earlier today, it contained the first page of a document from long ago. One that helps explain Cahokia Mound's significance to Hank Johnson, and why it may have so much control over him.

It seems Johnson was deeply affected by his study of the area's history, and it may have been what led him to become an explorer, a traveler, and a seeker of mankind's lost past.
In addition, it seems the overseers are keen to ensure Hank Johnson's television show can serve the purposes of the Niantic Project.
