奇妙な文書が手元に届いた。それは1960年代後半に行われた会議の議事録だ。「オペレーション・ジュースクラブ」と呼ばれる組織は今日でも十分には説明できていない科学の境界を模索していたようだ。

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF MEMBERS AND RESEARCHERS OF THE COMMITTEE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW SCIENCEPursuant to notice sent out a regular meeting of the members and researchers of the Committee for the Development of New Science was hold in the office of Mr. XXXXX in the San Luis Obispo, California at 6:00 o'clock P.M., the following named XXXX being present:

XXXXX ComputingThe meeting was called to order by President XXXXX, and the proceedings recorded by Mr. XXXXX Secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were not read, as said meeting was solely for the purpose of approving the purchase of material for Two additional Field Research units.
Mr. XXXXX of Emeryville, California a member being present for the purpose of submitting to the Committee a Resolution concerning the need to establish a Code Name and Cover Story to cover research strategy for certain anomalies known as Torsion Fields. The Resolution was read and thereupon Mr. XXXXX moved that the Resolution presented be accepted for consideration, seconded by Ms. XXXXX
After discussion it was decided that as much of the field equipment used during the search for Torsion Field Anomalies is frequently confused by observers as Health Paraphernalia, Operation Juice Club would serve as the Code Name.
The Cover Story used by Field Researchers when conducting scientific work in anomalous areas should be that they are trying to detect the presence of positive or negative ions, i.e. the presence of salubrious ecologies, pursuant to the goal of life extension and healthier constituion for the people of America and the World.
It was suggested by Ms. XXXXX that in the future research facilities may need to be housed near major population centers. The Committee's emblem, which represents the flow of energy in a proposed Torsion Field was therefore modified and colored by her in order that its meaning be ambiguated with the use of a blender, which is often associated with juice and the Health movement. In response to a suggestion by Ms. XXXXX Psychologist, it was advised that researchers dispense juice from their Field Laboratories and offer health advice to witnesses in order to better shield their scientific activities. The motion carried, and the proposed emblem modifications are attached as Appendix A.
Mr. XXXXX presented the results of the most recent field survey, the raw data of which is attached as Appendix B.
