Thus far, they have all complied with our request that they stay for observation and continued research, but they are getting increasingly insistent that they leave for personal or professional reasons. I understand that this will greatly increase the probability that they will learn more about Dr. Bogdanovich, Jarvis and other events we have tried to quarantine them from, but I feel we need a new policy.
Stein, for instance seems to be going cabin crazy. Enoch has expressed a desire to 'gather influences', and Carrie wants to go with him. They are talking about perhaps going into seclusion in the alps to 'process.' Though their growing 'relationship' is not secret, everybody is maintaining a discreet silence about it.
What really would be the problem with coming clean? Or at least clean enough to cover the publicly acknowledged facts -- i.e.: Jarvis is believed dead in an accident, and Devra has gone off on her own. We do not have to cite her real reasons, we just pitch it as 'the pressure got to her.' We can offer proof of life. I think they are all prepared to believe that XM can have these kind of effects.
Truth is, I think the team is resilient and there is little chance that any of them will go off the reservation. Of course, we will 'supervise' them to minimize splatter should something unexpected happen. I look forward to your thoughts.
