The Exogenous Precursors have touched hundreds of Portals and Agents, incorporating those interactions into their evolving dataset.
I suspect that as Anomalous conditions begin to spread across the Portal Network, the Precursors may recede, most likely at some point within the next 24-48 hours.
However, I suspect their story isn't over...PRECURSORS RECEDING
