アンチマグナスの指導者ヤーハンは、証人アノマリーの折にアフガニスタンで大規模なエキゾチックマター爆発を引き起こした。幻影を生み出す力を備える古の地においてそのテクノロジーの支配権を得ようとしたのだ。爆発と時を同じくして、数多くのナイアンティック計画研究者たちが姿を消した。その後、ポータルネットワーク内に散在するエネルギーパターンの存在が突き止められており、それらのエネルギーパターンは姿を消したナイアンティック計画研究者たちとの相関も認められた。それから証人アノマリー、ペルセポリスアノマリーにかけて、2種類のエネルギーパターンがシャードとして出現した。デブラ・ボグダノヴィッチとスタイン・ライトマンである。

もうひとつは、ミスティ・ハンナと思われる。マジシャンを装いつつ、その人生をプロジェクト・ワイダといった国家情報局の事業に捧げ、偽科学の調査に携わり続けたセンシティブである。むろんナイアンティック計画にも携わっていた。

アノマリー構造概要
添付した画像は、各予想出現地域を示している。

各地で4時間かけて36片が4段階で出現していくだろう。これらのシャード群は出現後にレベル7以上のリンクに沿って15分間ごとに移動していく。加えて、エンライテンドおよびレジスタンス双方の4つの特別なターゲットポータルが出現するだろう。アノマリー終了時までにターゲットポータルへ辿り着いたシャードはその陣営の手中に収まることだろう。

全てのシャード出現ポータルおよびターゲットポータルの一覧は暗号化された状態でアノマリー発生前に公開され、アノマリー終了後に復号鍵が公開されることになる。

シャードの動作パターン

シャードおよびターゲットポータルは、アノマリー発生地域内に出現する。ただし、シャードはリンクを通じてアノマリー発生地域内外のポータルへ移動することができる。

2度連続してリンクに沿った移動を妨げられた場合、シャードは近郊のポータルへ無作為に転移する。

シャード群はリンク・コンビネーションを移動することができ、既に移動したことのあるポータルへも移動することができる。

シャード群は極めて高エネルギー状態にあることから、2シャードムーブメント時間を超えて相当数のシャード群の移動を阻み続けたフィールドは急激に不安定化していく可能性がある。

シャードの移動に不正行為があったと判明した場合、元の位置へ戻されることがある。

TOP LINE INTEL

On October 10th, a new class of XM Anomaly will be observed, impacting the sites of Boston, MA and Houston, TX in the United States.

The Anti-Magnus leader, Jahan, caused a massive XM eruption in Afghanistan during Shonin. She was attempting to take control of the technology in an ancient site capable of creating and sustaining XM Simulacra. At the exact same moment as this XM eruption, a number of Niantic Project researchers disappeared. They were subsequently found scattered as energy patterns within the Portal Network. Other energy patterns that seem to correlate to deceased members of the Niantic Project research team were also observed. Since then, during Shonin and Persepolis, two of these energy patterns have manifested as XM Shards, Devra Bogdanovich and Stein Lightman.

In the past months, the energy patterns of the remaining researchers have grown in strength. They now appear to be emerging, and it is likely that their fate will be detemined during the #Abaddon Anomaly series.

Why did these researchers disappear? What is #Abaddon and how are they all connected? These are the questions that must be answered. All that is known is that the fates of ten researchers central to the mystery of the Niantic project lie in the balance.

 On October 10th, two energy patterns will emerge. One is expected to contain the identity and memories of Yuri Alaric Nagassa, an astrophysicist who was raised among the native Anazktec people in South America and has a unique understanding of the ancient methods of manipulating XM.

The other is expected to contain the identity and memories of Misty Hannah, an XM Sensitive who has worked in the guise of a performing magician and who has been involved in fringe-science research for most of her life through NIA programs like Project Whydah (and of course, the Niantic Project).

OVERALL ANOMALY STRUCTURE

Attached images show the expected Impact Zones for each site.

At each site, 36 Shards will emerge in four phases over the course of hour hours. These Shards, once manifested, will have the potential to travel between Linked Portals at Level 7 or higher approximately every 15 minutes. In addition, 4 special Target Portals will Manifest for both the Enlightened and Resistance. A Shard that reaches a Target Portals will be captured by its Faction until the Anomaly ends.

A cryptographically secure list of all Shard and Target manifestation Portals will be revealed prior to the beginning of the Anomaly. The decryption key will be revealed after the Anomaly concludes.

 SHARD BEHAVIOR PATTERNS

Both the Shards and the Target Portals will manifest within the identified Anomaly Impact Zones, however, Shards will be able to transit along Links to Portals both inside and outside the Anomaly Zone.

In the event that a Shard fails to travel along a connected Link twice consecutively (i.e. 2 Shard Movements), it may ramdomly teleport to a nearby Portal.

The XM Shards will be able to travel among any combination of Portal Links, including traveling to previously visited Portals.

Due to the extremely high energy state of the XM Shards, overhead Fields that inhibit the movement of a significant number of Shards for more than two Shard Movement windows may suddenly destabilize.

If a Shard movement is found to have been the result of actions by a rogue may cause that XM Shard to return to a previous known location.
